I was thinking of putting dual plasma pistols on my assault marine sarge ... I am not sure but does he get to have only one shot and when I do assault does he get the extra attack because he has matching weapons?

Never heard of Cypher ... till now and I researched him, very interesting fellow. The whole reason for this was to get two matching weapons and make him MY Roland of Gilead (Dark Tower series by Stephen King) ... Was even going to use armor with scripting on it so I could write Roland on it. Thank you very much. I might do it anyway.

you only get one shot. it would be only visual having two. You get 2 attacks as he has 2 CCW but only one shot.

You can only fire one weapon a turn per model unless stated otherwise so only one plasma pistol would be allowed to fire. I close combate i'm not sure as it is a pistol but my reading of the rules is that you wouldn't get an extra attack as you only get an extra attack for pistol+close combat weapon, not pistol+pistol.

On another note I don't see why you would give your sarge two plasma pistols as you have to pay for two whilst only getting the bonus of having one.

hope this helps,

I do two pistols on some of my death company and veteran assault. i just count it as a pistol and CCW.

As per the rules (as I'm sure has been mentioned) you only ever get to fire one weapon in the shooting phase (unless you have special rules) so carrying two pistols is nothing but a fun modeling project.

Sisters of battle seraphim do have special rules for twin pistols, they count as TL and a pair of CCWs, but nobody else gets that, it's just for them.

though for whatever reason model a PF & bolter & there will inevitably be that guy who raises a stink over someone holding a boltgun with his PF...
Why would someone do that?
Model it like that I mean, not complain about it.
If I were to do it, I'd do one of two things.

1. Have him holding the Bolter in one hand (like so many GW models do).
2. Have him resting the gun on the Power Fist, as a substitute way to steady it.

Why the heck not? If you want to spend the time reforming a PF to actually HOLD a boltgun then power to you...

I for one haven't done that, I just meant the bolter in one hand & the PF on the other. But the BG is still a two handed weapon is it not? Therefore the assumption is that the individual must use his PF hand (or LC hand) to steady his aim somehow.

The thing is though, the Power Fist isn't designed to handle things delicately, it's standard issue to Terminators because it's fucking powerful, and allows a degree of handling to be done by that hand, ie: they can pick things up.
You wouldn't be able to fire a gun with it though, the fingers are too big.

If I were to put the Bolter on the Fist, it'd be mounted on the back.
