I came up with this little doohickey when a friend of mine was blathering on about making a farsight enclaves codex. My idea was a way to make a CCW that looked like it would be something the tau themselves would find practical. IE: something that would fit into those weapons slots on the arms.
The rules work like any normal powerweapon, but with a 2d6 armor pen. It is a blade used for stabbing armored targets, then blowing the crap out of it at close range with the underslung fusion grenade launcher. Here is a quick tutorial on how to make your own:
Parts:
-Crisis flamer bit
-Firewarrior pulsecarbine bit
-Space Marine powersword, from either the terminator, or veterans boxed set. Or any set with a powersword for that matter.
Next you cut off the barrel of the flamer, and that little dome nubby thingy, along with the fuel box, leaving only the main body. Then take the carbine, removing the back end but leaving the barrel and grenadelauncher. Also remove the tips of the barrel. Finally, remove the blade from the powersword arm.
You will be left with these parts:
finally, chissle the back of the blade until the end fits evenly on the barrel of the carbine, and attach the barrel to the body of the flamer, as shown:
Make sure the blade stays on evenly, and at the end you will have something like this:
So, what do you guys think?
