Orks for an escalation battle

My local Gamesworkshop is starting an escalation battle This Friday, and it's starting at 500 points and I believe each week will add 250 points until we reach 2000pts. So each week I'll be posting my army list in this thread. I would like some hard, brutal, constructive criticism from any of you, from only knowing a little bit about orks to being a veteran with them, I would love to hear all your opinions. Now without further ado, here is my starting 500pt list.

this army looks solid for that pointrange...

maybe you can cut one nob (the one in the 24 sqad that warboss will join and give the warboss the BP) and invest the points into more firepower or something ... maybe a deffkopta?
.. but that is just a thought... no real criticism

Honestly imho you cannot go wrong with this list at 500 Points... it has all you need
Pks - boyt - shootas - no need to go fancy... just let the green steamroller go :so_happy:

even if it is a small one :laugh:

my sugestion is to loose the big shootas cos u will hardly use them u should be running not shooting lol, drop the gunz get another boy. the deffkopta is a good idea as well will give u a good bit of annoying shooty stuff for ur oponent to get rid of before he starts on ur boyz and if he ignores it then make him pay. if u think there may be tanks the change the TL bigshootas on the deffkopta for a kustom mega blasta that can easy enough cut through light amour transports.

im quite new to orks myself so these are just some odeas that i had hope i helped.:victory:

Follow the good advice that has gone before i.e. drop the nob from a boyz squad and add a bosspole to the warboss. Drop the big shootas as well because you will probably be running.

This will allow you to take a Killa Kan. The orks are the only army that can field an AV11 walker at this points level, meaning that it has a good chance to survive. However, this is not its role in life - the Kan needs to run at the opposition as a fire magnet.

I can guarantee that your boyz, which are pretty much a solid list as you have, will get to the enemy in a lot better shape.
