Hi everyone,

Jigplums suggested I post up here about the X Legion Tactica Tournament!

Since I went to last years GT I've been toying with the idea of holding a WH40K tournament in my local area - Hampshire.

After doing my homework I decided to take the plunge!

The first X Legion Tactica tournament will be held on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of June at Landford Village Hall in Hampshire UK.

There are a total of 20 places available for players but 11 of them have already been taken over on warseer forums!

The scoring system will be exactly the same as (last year's) GT - 3pts for a win 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss - with net victory point totals used to distinguish between players with the same scores.

There will be 3 games each day with a total of 3 gamma and 3 omega level missions.

The Swiss Pairs system will be used.

The games will be played on excellent 6" x 4" scenery boards made by myself - below are some photos of the finished boards so you'll have an idea of what you'll be playing on!

Refreshments will be available throughout the day and a buffet lunch will be laid on (far better than the GT food!). You will need to arrange your own evening meals but I'm planning on eating at the local pub!

The provisional timetable is this;

Schedule

Day 1

9.00am – 10.00am = Registration, Tea, coffee and doughnuts,

10.00am – 12.00pm = Game 1

12.00pm – 13.00pm = Lunch and Buffet, Best Army shortlist selection,

13.00pm - 15.00pm = Game 2

15.00pm - 15.30pm = Afternoon Break

15.30pm - 17.30pm = Game 3

17.30pm - till late = food and drinks down the local pub!!!

Day 2

9.00am – 10.00am = Hangover cures, Tea, coffee and doughnuts,

10.00am – 12.00pm = Game 4

12.00pm - 13.00pm = Lunch and Buffet, Best army voting,

13.00pm - 15.00pm = Game 5

15.00pm - 15.30pm = Afternoon Break

15.30pm - 17.30pm = Game 6

17.30pm - 18.00pm = presentations for overall winner (20 pound GW gift voucher) Best Army (10 pound GW gift voucher) and the wooden spoon - a wooden spoon!

18.00pm – till late = food and drinks down the local pub again!!!

Then anyone sticking around can retire to the bar with us to help drown our sorrows.

Whilst this is going to be a competitive tournament the main reason for holding it is to have a SOCIAL, FUN and TACTICAL tournament. There will be plenty of terrain and bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated so don't bother applying if you're that sort of player!!!!!

Tickets will be £30 pounds for the weekend.

I'll post any additional info here as and when it becomes available.

For some reason I couldn't attach the tournament information and rules pack so if you'd like a copy PM me on this forum or email

[email protected] and I'll send you a copy ASAP

As I said previously there are only 9 tickets left, they will be available on a first come first served basis - so if you'd like to reserve a ticket whilst you sort out payment etc (details of which are in the info pack) please say so on your email/PM and I will do so!

Sounds a great weekend, well organised and refreshments planned out in advance which is crucial! :D Best of luck for it! Just a shame Hampshire is a bit too much of a hike from Manchester for me (its down south where they all talk funny isn't it? )
