All advice welcome

HQ

Captain with power weapon mounted on Bike

Troops

5 man scout squad ML and camo cloaks

5 man Tact squad mounted in Razorback
with Lascannon/plasmagun

Bike squad 4 bikes(2 melta guns)
1 attack bike with multi melta

10 man Tact squad with Plasma cannon
Plasmagun mounted in rhino

Fast attack

Land speeder storm with multi melta

Heavy Support

Vindicator

1000pts


The only thing im unsure about is the vindicator i wrote the list found i had 1115 pts left over so i threw it in

the captain joins the biker squad
scouts start mounted in the LS

scout squad is for giving the opponent something to be distracted by and since its scoring they should take the bait

the RB squad is for guarding objectives and taking out light armour

bike squad as anti tank mobile fire support and for capping objectives

and the final squad is for holding objectives remaining flexible and troop killing




i tryed for alot of meltas and high str weapons given how popular mech armies are with the new rules but wanted to keep my whole army realatively mobile without packing everything into a rhino and perpetuating the cycle

i considered ditching the vindicator for 2 more speeders and a combi wep for my captain but im on the fence

any suggestions would be awesome

thanks wrote it after reading a really comprehensive tactica article about troop choices it really opened my eyes and got me thinking about how i can keep my army flexible

even though its not packing shinnies like dreads or termies im hoping itll pack a punch especially against armies like chaos and other MEQ's

as to the vindicator since im not sold on it i can always take a dakka pred for some more firepower opr something like that

gonna road test it against a couple of players i know if it goes then ill buy the pieces i need to finish it

1 plays orks 1 choas the other guard

really cant wait to see guard players expression when he fields his chimeltas against the anti tankness of this list i shold deff take a photo :p

with this list i hope i have none as to how my games go i played against a choas army a few days ago

put bluntly i annilated him in a take and hold with 5 obj

lost my vindi first turn after destroying his vindis cannon

killed his deamon prince with my plasma squad

and wiped out his 2 troop choices 1 with my scouts and the other with bikes

he gave up at the end of turn 4 with 1 plague marine left his termies half a squad of chosen and 1 obliterator all the rest were toast

i lost vindicator had my LS immobilised and wep on RB destroyed and 2 bikes killed

so against MEQ it worked well split his forces with scouts and bikes rushing his edge and used cover to pick off his troops and vehicles with RB and bikes

in hind sight the vindicator took the place of the scouts as a shiny shoot me first target but keeping a scoring unit over a short ranged tank was fine by me though it failed by scattering its first and only shot and inflicted no wounds

all in all ran as expected though looking forward to trying this out against other armies and will keep posting victories/ defeats

tested again and the vindicator is not taking care of bussiness so im gonna swap it out for a dakka pred and some wargear or try and squeeze telion infor his bolter and to shoot the ML frag shots my problem with the vindicator is that its getting blown up before it can kill anything but my hope is that the pred will be less of a target and its better at killing hordes
