I don't because I don't have the Apocalypse book, haven't downloaded the datashetts, haven't played at Apocalypse level yet (or even been in the same room as an Apocalypse game) and due to time and budget restrictions ATM don't see any of that (except some general data-sheet type stuff) changing in the near future; and therefofe consider myself well underqualified to give an opinion.

Is that a good enough excuse ?

Because I view Apocalypse as silliness? Frankly, if I wanted to play at that scale I'd be playing Epic. $400+ for one army in 40k is bad enough, the amount of cash I'd need to shell out to play apocalypse can go to better causes even within my 'play' budget. Like a new exhaust and intake for my motorcycle.

1: its too much to read through
2: army lists are a little pointless when the game allows you to use EVERYTHING
3: apocalypse is a silly pile of easily abused tripe that I can't be bothered to waste my time on, even for other people who don't abuse it
4: some people have STUPID army lists (40pts inquisitor 2960pts orbital strike, think I'm gonna waste my breath on that?)

>> I have to agree with everything that has been said. Its a pointless waste of time. Its been designed for power-gamers who can no longer cheesey-power their standard 40k armies. Sorry, Apoc lovers, but its shit.

I find its only useful when they list both their own army and the army they will be playing against list, otherwise it's too hard to give advice on what will work due to the fact you won't know the situation and the proper unit(s) to recommend. I still recommend you use your foc for the first 1500-2000 before taking anything else for an apocalypse game to avoid the insane amount of cheeseyness that can be abused (on both sides). Then again I'm a believer of only one superheavy/legendary unit at 3000 points, but again it all depends on how you and your opponent(s) agreement before you play.

IMO, Apocalypse is a poor excuse for GW to introduce ridiculously expensive units and to get more players to spend more money. Think of the rules that have been so heatedly discussed for 40k, they basically go out the window. Not force orgs, giant templates, etc.

That's why.

I'm content in have like 5 different 40k armies ranging from 500 - 2000 pts.

i hate it so far but maybe thats because my first apocalypse battle was a 3 against 4 battle

where a guy chose night fight when his tau had black sun filters.

i was a re beginner so i forgot rolling of dice for night mission ect.

and i forgot that search lights eluminate targets

the tau player had only tanks and he did a a special skill where my men in buildings got crushed and had to make a armour save ah well nvm

maybe next time ill play a different person / not apocalypse.

so far i hate apocalypse ridiculous, for space marines or eldar just buy a titant / thunder hawk or night wing and screw those anoying apoc players
