Just took first at the ard boys regionals and im getting 2500 points of guard shipped to me from GW ^_^

Anybody else win or do good??

Well if you get a bit of everything (and it's free) you can turn it into a fluff-ish army, if you're not paying after all then there's no pressure on the army to be able to beat all competition. Plus, it's only 750pts away from apoc size- woo.

im kinda hoping for some more valk's to turn into vendetta to finish off my fighter squadron army i want to do for apocalypse. haha =] i only have 8 right now. but again thanks for the rep everyone. now im just scrambling for strategies for armies im expecting at nationals. im thinking orks will be rampant... along with guard and of course space marines will be everywhere im sure.

Haha again thanks for all the rep everyone! and yeah ill post the list i used in army lists section. ill do round by rounds as well. ^_^ and ill post pics of the guard army from start to finish when i get them =] should be pretty awesome

The only horror story I've heard about the 2500 points prize is that since they get to choose what they send you, it's usually all plastic models, and no pewter. For Imperial Guard, that shouldn't be a problem, but it was a problem for someone I know who won a few years back and wanted Chaos Daemons.

They more or less only sent him Daemonettes and Bloodletters. It wasn't exactly the army he was looking for.
