OK guys hypothetical situation - who would win out of the Chaos Gods (pick one) and a C'Tan.

Both gods - but who is better?

I don't know who my money is on but what do you guys think?

Well Chaos gods don't have a proper form tbh so i doubt they would ever face each other, the only time i remember a god actully having a true form is khaine and khaine beat nightbringer up so i would go with khorne, slaanesh and tzeentch could beat a c'tan while i think nurgle would get destroyed bit by bit since c'tan are immune to plagues and disease ain't they?

Any of the Gods would win - a C'Tan isn't actually a God, but a star-eating lifeform condensed into a living metal form - plus, you know, the Warp is anathema to the Necrontyr and their technology...

Chaos. Even a tiny little Enslaver plague forced the C'tan into hiberation for 60 million years. Agianst the Gods of the Warp they don't have a chance.

well, as c'tan arent actually 'gods' by definition, the chaos gods win.

but, it would be awesome for someone to think of rules for a god and then play the battle out.

The Deciever and the Weaver could be a odd match up though.

One problem with that, the very stuff the chaos gods are made of, the forces of the warp, eat away at the being of the C'tan, the chaos gods have nothing to fear from the C'tan

I do not recall reading anywhere that the C'tan are eaten away at by the warp, to my knowledge they just don't like it because they have no souls.

Indeed, it is illogical in the extreme that this would happen.

It would never happen. The Chaos Gods cannot manifest themselves in the material universe. The C'tan cannot enter the Empyrean.

As with all things theres always the what if - I mean I don't think many people thought that the Horus Heresy was ever going to happen untill GW brought it out. And it was stated at the start that it was hypothetical situtation.

Victory will go to whoever's realm the battle occurs in. The Chaos Gods cannot sustain themselves in the material world, nor can the C'tan survive in the Warp.

Putting aside who can exist where, C'tan can be fielded on the battlefield with ease, whilst it's likely each of the 4 Chaos gods makes playthings of Imperator Titans.

If the 4 Chaos Gods are relatively equal in power then much of Tzeentch's power goes to his amazing ability to predict the future, and Slaanesh the ability to beguile, intoxicate and persuade. This leaves Khorne and Nurgle, and I say Khorne who is pure 100% combat and nothing but (and his immunity to all things psychic is a nice added bonus) would win.

All this is assuming a straight-forward versus showdown on a battlefield, which Khorne is designed for.

Victory in who ever's realm it is in. best answer. If it's the material plane, the c'tan (their bodies aren't them after all along with that techno voodoo that they do) if not. the chaos gods.
