I don't think you can run telion with khan. Want to say they don't let you mix chapters like, that anymore.

Correct, You would have to ally with them as an Ultramarines detachment. But I do like the list. Just make sure to pick your fights with the command squad, they can still die to enough concentrated fire quite easily. I wiped a bike command squad with 2 9-man Tac squads the other day, his squad was about 225 points. Gone with one round of fire from guns that were out of range of everything else anyways.

Gonna struggle with high Armour Terminators. Maybe a couple of gravguns.

And V07, anecdotal evidence isn't everything - 36 bolter shots is 24 hits, 8 wounds, maybe 2 unsaved wounds. With special weapons, and heavies the maths may change slightly, but not that much the storm shields to soak up high str low AP like missiles, plasma and las, while flamers etc should not have the range to toast bikers. Bikers amd command squads fear large s7+ ap3 or lower blasts.

And that is assuming your opponent got into rapid firing range at the same time as 2 near full tactical squads - which is completely moronic.

Typhoons kinda suck. Storm Talons are much better as they can AA as well. Taking more is usually better.

Lol, 32 bolter shots and 6 HB shots with Imp Fist CTs averages just over 3.5 bike marines a turn. But when has statistics ever worked :p. He did have an unfortunate outflank result however, hence 'make sure you pick your fights' (I don't recommend outflanking with a unit so vital).

He also had 2 TMLs Land Speeders, which were actually better than I thought they'd be. With their movement they could always find something to shoot at while I couldn't retaliate with dedicated AT fire (he stayed out of sight).

Maybe escorting your Command Squad with your Storm Talon could be a good tactic, it'd make sure your CS survives till a turn were a nice charge could tip the battle (If placed correctly for their turn of arrival). That's my opinion however.

Hmm

As far as I can tell Telion is an upgrade. It doesn't say I can't take him with my list also it does say that he has been known to be loaned out to other chapters. Can anyone tell me where I can find I can't take him?

I'm hoping with the plus to jink and scout rule with my bikes that I can deploy things where I need them, and the jink to help save them.

Statistics placed me at killing 4 in a turn. All I'm saying is that placement matters, don't get them shot at, because they die like a standard marine biker to small arms fire but they cost a lot more than a standard marine biker. I do love Command Squads though, but don't jink them (most of the time), while hilarious a 3+ armor/3+ invul/3+ cover does nothing more than give you one 3+ save.

With standard bikers jinking can be very nice but just remember that your bikes want to shoot and if you jink you are essentially worthless at shooting the next turn. So you have to deal with the big bad heavy hitters some other way if you're jinking.

As for Telion, I don't have my book with me so I could be wrong, but I know he has CT: Ultramarines, and I don't think you can blend Chapter Tactics in a squad (since he's a SGT, not an IC who is on his own). Correct me if I am wrong though, I'll check my book tonight if I can remember.

Looked more into it I do have to have the Ultramarine Allies to use Telion so with the spare points I had I added a librarian. 1 point over won't make a difference. I split the 3rd speeder into this detachment so now all my speeders can fly around.
