I currently play space marines and my friend plays Eldar ( he's geard it tward Tyranids) he beets me about 90% of the time with usualy a solid victory. I'm thinking of starting a new army do you have any Ideas on which army I should play to have a better chance at beeting him?

P.S. I don't want to do Necrons or Eldar

If he plays Mech Eldar, then the best counter is Mech Tau. Still, the new Orks might be something to look into, or if you really want to yank his chain, try running Tyranids!

Tau should beat eldar, pulse rifles should make a mess of them and they have the fire power to bring down wraithlords and avatars, plus they also look nice when painted well and you can have countless amount of colour combinations, they are also simple to put together and have next to no metal models so they are cheaper than most to.

so far his army is made of guardens, a falcon tank, a farseer and warlocks that mainly hang out with the guardens, warp spyders, and 2 ( I forget what they're called) of the land speeder things

I also know that he plans on buying dire avengers and striking squrpions
