Imperial Fists get re-rolling 1s to hit with their Special Ammunition (which makes Vengeance Rounds amazing by the way), as to a lesser extent do Ultramarines. IF also has the benefit of giving you access to Pedro Kantor, who gives them Objective Secured and an extra attack if he's nearby (not to be underestimated - a lot of people aren't expecting a specialist shooting unit to have 3 attacks each base). If you're running a lot of Devastators, then Imperial Fists really make those guys a lot more powerful (Tank Hunters is a huge benefit), but if you're not then Ultramarines will probably have more army-wide benefits (as well as access to Tigurius, arguably the best support character in the game) since their Doctrines affect all weapons on all units, rather than just Bolters.
