When ever the new rule book do come out what would like to be change in it and what would you like to stay the same.

I'd get rid of all the random stuff - random movement distances, random reserves, random deepstriking, random turn system, etc. Random stuff does not a good tactics game make. Fantasy has a good balance of neccessary random stuff IMO.

Oh, and I'd also make units block LOS again (and that's coming from a Guard player). Not that getting a +4 cover save isn't a bad compromise, but 5th edition is looking to be the 'edition-in-which-everybody-gets-a-4+-cover-save no-matter-what'.

Hmm, I just want a rulebook at is clear, consise and is not open to the rules lawyers, that there are no area's to abuse such as rapid fire baiting behind area terrain (painfully easy to set up...) etc.

All this stuff needs to be looked at, but I feel with such a tight time limit, its gonna be a right failure, unless they have been working on it for years...

dontreally care how they change bc we'll just adapt to them anyway. I agree with forgotten hero with the clear and concise becasue of the rule lawyers.

Clear and concise? GW? If indeed such a thing is possible I would welcome it with open arms.

Personally I'm happy with the game as is. As long as they don't change too much I'll remain happy.

agree with others on rulebook needs to be clear and concise. They need to spend the time with giving great examples and organizing it better.
I feel they should do a basic rulebook and an advanced rulebook. Novice and expert lvl I should say.
I would like to see a change in missions. put new ones in new rulebook. granted you can always make up your own but want new ones from unbiased source.

hmmm. yea that would be better. even though i use that strategy with my destroyers. turboboost them in there turn 3 before variant game length happens. I agree with you it is take and "HOLD".

I'd like a number of things. Overwatch back (it sounds cool), and seconded on the "Take and HOLD" argument. Many a game of take and hold has had nothing happen until the last turn. Oh, oh and make combat impossible first turn.

Most of the new rules I have heard so far I like. I prefer things to be all or nothing. Not well you can kinda see that guy maybe or you can shoot 3 guys but thats it type of thing. I think they are doing a whole missions supplement wich would be great. The only thing I would like to see I don't think that is going to happen is for Special characters and rules to be toned down a little. Put the power of the game back in the reg troops.

I'd like the Rules book to be better organized. Searching 3-4 different sections just so a single game situation can be resolved/understood is time consuming and not fun. A lot less ambiguity would also be nice. A number of situations I've been through could have been less painful with the change of a word or two or adding a simple clarification.

If they're going to charge 50~ for a big rulebook I better get my money's worth, not a need for aspirin and a nap.

Problem solved.

Actually I'm in the boat of nerfing skimmers, and asscans. Way, -way- too prevalent.
And also, despite the fact I use it all the dang time, a reduction on lash of submission. I've played three games with it so far, and it's completely broken from what I've seen.

Clearly you don't use skimmers in your army. My Tau skimmers die incredibly well despite the glancing only hits, the problem is the Eldar skimmers and the upgrades you can take for them that are way over the top. There is no reason to nerf all skimmers because of that.

For me, I would like to see tanks of all kinds become more mobile with the ability to split fire and fire all weapons at separate targets while being slightly more resilient. Tanks are not meant to be pillboxes nor should they have to direct all fire at a single target or forgo firing all weapons because they have shot an ordinance weapon. After all, they are crewed my multiple crewmen all of who have a single job which is to fire the weapon they are assigned to. It makes no sense to me that the gunner firing the hb sponson of a Leman Russ will just NOT fire at the meltabomb armed unit of infantry coming up to the side of the tank just because the gunner firing the main weapon has targeted a tank on the other side.

aye, the tank rules bug me, maybe a hit to BS for distance moved, but i should be able to shoot all the guns at what i like.

correct spelling there is a number of spelling mistakes in the current rule book book but no biggy.

also remove rending compleatly (it hurts :p)

i dont think the rules changes will matter too much as gw always break them with some unit or other whenever they rerelease a codex just to give the game lawyers something to do

Hmm. what does nerf mean? Also, got another thing i'd like out the rule book. SM specific rules. sometimes they go through the rules, and they just go on about SM this, and SM that, and theres only a SINGLE mention of imperial guard in the entire rulebook. Maybe, to help us all, they could have the stats summary pages out of all the codexs in the rulebook?
