I decided to google for codex : Inquisition and the 6th hit down was quite a funny read.

THIS IS A FAN CODEX!!
Codex : Inquisition

Over the past few months people have been talking about what will be in the Inquisition codex thats coming (sooner or later), some say it will be Codex Grey Knights while others say it will be a combined book in one way or another.

This fan made codex was quite an interesting read, I really liked the Sisters of Battle section because allot of the changes I personally would like to see were in it. So Im not the only one who thinks Repentia and Arco should get FNP :D

Anyways, Im posting it here in case anyone is bored enough to take a look.

I really think it brings into perspective what it would take to make a combined codex, you could easily turn it into 3 separate codicies .

Its basically a combined WH/DH codex with radicals thrown in for good measure.
I dont remember seeing the ally rule but Mystics are still there.
Loads of allied units were in it though, even orcs, eldar and tau for you radical inquisitors.

This fandex was pretty awesome I must say. If GW made a codex like this I think they would sell ALLOT of models because you would have 1 dex that allowed you to take units from allot of different armies.

Its fan made, in no way official and should be treated as such. Enjoy

Thats a super dex, but its too big, it needs serious streamlining.

I like alot of the ideas about Grey knights and inducted guardsmen, especially the point breaks! The psymissile a good idea as well. but I think its way too big to be 1 dex

This is my thought exactly, reading this has given me the impression that there is no way GW would combine Inquisition, GK and SoB and XenoHunters into a single codex.

I guess they could do it without the SoB and perhaps remove the different xenos.

A rumour I read at the beginning of the year suggested there would be a GK, SoB and Inquisition codex coming. The Inquisition would be a WD supplement or an expansion. Basically allowing all armies in the game to field radical inquisitors.

66 Different Soldier types
40 Vehicles
0 Special Characters though :headbutt:

You going to print it? Why? Its a fanbased codex, its not like you will be able to use it for anything unless your friend would allow you to.

Just read through the entire thing and I must say it would be pretty awesome if GW made a dex like this one. There are problems here and there, inconsistencies, typos and rules problems. Much like what you could expect from a GW codex :D

Overall it was pretty good, but you just get so bogged up by the gear section. Gear should have been listed by what force can use it. Like Hereticus gear, Malleus gear, Xeno gear, GK gear and SoB gear. Not mixed up in alphabetical order like it is.

Sacred hull is listed twice, I think the first one might have been Blessed Hull but I dont know.

Sisters of Battle section was the least thought out, no real upgrades for the Repressor and apparently 6 models with anything can shoot out of it (FW one can have 6bolters and 1 special or heavy weapon shoot out of it).
Just imagine that thing getting parked next to you and 6 rending flamers blast you :D (Rending from Divine Guidance, GW codex gives AP1, this one gives Rending. I think this is a mistake because this means meltabombs and guns get rending as well. Hows that for OP!).

No changes to he Exorcist or the Penitent Engine was a real downer, PE would still be as useless as ever with this dex. Cant even be taken in squads.

Immolator was just what Im expecting GW to do with it

IMMOLATOR……………………….…………40 Points
|-Armour-|
--------- BS F S R
Immolator 4 11 11 10
Options:
• Replace twin-linked heavy flamers with:
- a twin-linked heavy bolter….………….……………………..……free
- a twin-linked multi melta……………………………………….+20 pts
- a twin-linked flamestorm cannon……………………….…….+20 pts
- a lascannon and twin-linked plasma gun……………………+35 pts
• May take:
- a dozer blade……………………………………………….…….+5 pts
- a storm bolter………………………………………………..….+10 pts
- blessed bolts……………………………………………………+10 pts
- a holy icon……………………………………………………….+10 pts
- holy promethium………………………………………………..+10 pts
- laud hailers………………………………………………………+10 pts
- a hunter-killer missile…………………………………….…….+10 pts
- extra armour…..…………………………………………..…….+15 pts

Flamestorm cannon with holy promethium would be so awesome :D
Holy Promethium = Cause 1 wound and the unit has to take a morale check as if it had just lost 25% of its size.

Another gem was in the Elites
CELESTIAN SQUAD…………………………75 Points
Unit Composition:
• 5 Celestians
Unit Type:
• Infantry

Wargear:
• Power armour
• Bolt pistol
• Close combat weapon
• Frag and krak grenades

Special Rules:
• Adepta Sororitas
• Holy Hatred

Dedicated Transport:
• May select any Dedicated Transport
Options:

• May add up to five Celestians…………….………+15 pts per model
• Any model may replace their bolt pistol and/or close combat weapon with:
- a boltgun…………………………………………………………..free
- a storm bolter……………………………………………………+5 pts
• Any model may replace their close combat weapons with a power weapon……………………………………….…………………..+10 pts
• One model may be upgraded to a Hospitaller and given the Medicus Ministorum……………………………………………..+15 pts
• One other model may exchange their bolt pistol and close combat weapon with an eviscerator………………………………..……+20 pts
• One other model may be given a Simulacrum Imperialis..….+20 pts
• One other model may replace their bolt pistol with:
- a flamer…………….......……………………………………...+5 pts
- a meltagun……………………..……………………………..+10 pts
- a plasma gun, plasma pistol, or inferno pistol………….…+15 pts
• One other model may replace their bolt pistol with:
- a flamer or heavy bolter……………………………………….+5 pts
- a meltagun, heavy flamer or multi-melta…………………..+10 pts
- a plasma gun, plasma pistol, or inferno pistol…….……….+15 pts
• Any model may take:
- a sarissa for the boltgun………………………..……………….+5 pts
- blessed bolts………………………………………………..……+5 pts

What I would do is give everyone Storm Bolters and Blessed Bolts (Ignore cover saves).

Repentia gives 0 faithpoints but are able to use Acts of Faith. There was a new one that I really liked.
RIGHTEOUS FERVER
Faith in the Emperor can create a spiritual climax, causing one to temporarily ignore fatal wounds and strike back with fury before giving in to the Emperor’s embrace in death.

Phase: At the beginning of either player’s Assault Phase.
Test of Faith: Roll equal to or over the current number of models in the squad.
Effect: Until the end of the Assault Phase, any model which is reduced to 0 wounds is not removed from play. They may strike back with their full accompaniment of attacks.

The Canoness and retinue were awesome and just what I personally would like to see in GWs codex.

Bah, this has made me want to see what GW comes up with even more.
Only problem is we might not see a SoB codex for a very long time :(

@madcow: i print things off cos its easier to read, and my partner works in a school, so i get LOTS of paper for nothing. as to gaming, i dont game much, but those i do game with are pretty flexible, sio it wouldnt be much of a problem. i am a bit disappointed with the PE not changing(except the loss of squadrons), but im figuring out if spearhead can help with them.

The ally rule is on page 25 of it.
Note that units from the Inquisition Force Organization, such as the Inquisitor Lord or the Inquisitorial Storm Troopers, may not be selected as Allies. It is the Inquisitor that has the Imperial mandate to requisition additional forces from the Imperium, not the other way around!

They can still ally, just not get Inquisitors or Inquisitorial Storm Troopers :D
This means no mystics for anyone by the Inquisition. This does make allot more sense than they way it is with GWs codicies.

Needs serious work. I mean, eldar, orks... Way to open ended. I certainly hope the GW codex isn't like this one.
I agree on this one, it seems so random but it does fit in with radical Inquisitors.

How is this for broken :D

CELESTIAN HONOR GUARD………………75 Points
You may take one Celestian Honor Guard for every Canoness or Palatine (including Special Characters) in your army. This unit does not count against your HQ allowance.
Unit Composition:
• 5 Celestians
Unit Type:
• Infantry
Wargear:
• Power armour
• Bolt pistol
• Close combat weapon
• Frag and krak grenades
Special Rules:
• Adepta Sororitas
• Blessed
• Holy Hatred
Dedicated Transport:
• May select any Dedicated Transport
Options:
• May add up to five Celestians…………….………+15 pts per model
• Any model may exchange their bolt pistol and/or close combat weapon with:
- a boltgun..…………………………………………………………..free
- a storm bolter……………………………………………………..+5 pts
- a power weapon……………………………………..…………+10 pts
• Any model may replace both their bolt pistol and close combat weapon with:
- twin bolt pistols…………………………………………………..+5 pts
• One model may be upgraded to a Hospitaller and given the Medicus Ministorum……………………………………………..+15 pts
• One other model may be upgraded to a Sister Dialogus……+20 ps
• One other model may be given:
- a sacred standard………………………………………….….+15 pts
- a sacred banner of the Order Militant (one per army)……..+25 pts
• Two other models may replace their bolt pistol with:
- a flamer or hand flamer……………………………………...+10 pts
- a plasma pistol or inferno pistol……………………………..+15 pts
• If two other models have not replaced their bolt pistol with the above, they may exchange both bolt pistol and close combat weapon with:
- twin hand flamers…………………….....................................+15 pts
- twin inferno pistols……………………………………………..+20 pts
- an eviscerator………………………………………………….+20 pts
• Any model may take:
- a sarissa for the boltgun………………………..……………….+5 pts
- blessed bolts…………………………………………………..…+5 pts
• The entire squad may upgrade their power armour to artificer armour……………………………………...…………+10 pts per model
• The entire squad may have jump packs……………………….+50 pts

So together with a Canoness you could get a unit of jump pack infantry with a 2+ armour save and Feel No Pain, together with the Act of Faith that turns the armour save into an Invulnerable save, topped of with power weapons and +2Str Act of Faith:D A2 normal, does not say if this is due to the BP and CCW they come equipped with so one could assume they have 3 attacks base with 4 on the charge.
So if you take 10 Celestian Honour Guard its 150 Points
100 for Power Weapons
100 for Artificer Armour
50 for Jump Packs
15 for Hospitaler with FNP

So 415 points for 10 Jump infantry with 2+ Armour save and Inv save (with AoF) and Power Weapons, you can add 2 Inferno Pistols if you want tank busting for 15pt each.
It comes down to around 42points per model, I guess that is a pretty decent price to pay for what you get. Then again they would be better than storm shield terminators :D
P.S Holy Hatred gives Preferred Enemy vs ALL enemies :D

Yup, broken army book. I applaud him for spending the time and effort to make it, but if the real codex were anything like this, everyone would jump ship to inquisition.

I mean, christ, 40 points for an immolater?

All I want in the new 'dex is FNP for my archos, cheaper rhinos, and plastic sisters.
