As I stated in my prievious thread I disbanded by blood angels and from the ashes rise black templars while making my list I picked up a emperors champion what vow should I take. I know that losing all your cover saves and gaining a invunerable save on all your units is freaking awesome but the +1 strength is nice or the preferred enemy

The good thing about the vows is you don't have to always take the same one, you can decide which you wish to take before going to a game, So I would say try them all out and see which you like best

Take the vow "The Emperor Demands Grammar."

Then your post will look something like this:

The answer to your question is that preferred enemy offers by far the most utility, especially when you come up against other assault specialist armies. It makes your army almost 50% better in assault.

The Invulnerable save one is actually a bit shit compared to the rest, I'd always suggest Accept Any Challenge No Matter The Odds (Preferred Enemy), re-rolling hits is awesome. A full Terminator Sword Brethren squad armed with Lightning Claws and Furious Charge have got 40 Attacks at Strength/Initiative 5, re-rolling hits & wounds- I can't think of a single infantry unit that can withstand that.

Accept Any Challenge No Matter The Odds is by far the best vow available to the Black Templars, the only downside is that you must charge a unit if you are eligible but you can always run or just charge anyway as black templars willl walk over most things in close combat.

I like the uphold the honour of the emperor vow. In a tourney setting when points usage is paramount and you do not know what you might face. I agree in an organized game then accept any challenge no matter the odds is better unless fighting eldar in which case suffer not the unclean to live is better.

AAC is still the better vow vs eldar.

Examples:

Both are assuming WS4 and T3 (as these are eldar)

Suffer not vow

24 attacks
12 hit (1/2 chance)
10 wound (5/6 chance)

Accept any challenge vow

24 attacks
18 hit (3/4 chance)
12 wound (2/3 chance)

Not to mention with AAC anything with furious charge will be striking at the same time as the eldar.
