I know the strike cruisers and battle-barges can do space flights, meaning flying in out outer space. But Im wondering what kind of one-man-ships/fighters can managed flying like around in orbital around a planet? Can Thunderbolts do that for an example? I hope this makes some sense and I apologize about the written language in advance. :)

Thunderbolts can, but are not the best ones for the job... The ones I know that are fully capable are the Fury Interceptors and Starhawks...

Thank you for the answer, Im currently working on some own fluff and wasnt sure if I got it totally frakked up by making something able to fly through space when it cant. How about Valkyries? :)

Thunderbolts have limited capabilities out of atmosphere, and usually just fly into a planet after being dropped from low orbit, thats the only 1 man craft really though, as fury fighters and starhawks are not 1 man craft, furies I believe are 2, and starhawks go to 4 or 5.

Valks I don't think have any space capabilities, and also aren't 1 man, Aquilas do have some space fairing capabilities, but they usually just shuttle from ship to ship or down to a planet, but again are not 1 man.

Oh yes sorry, I should have been more furrow there. I know there are enough seats for 12 people in a Valkyrie. So what kind of transports is it the IG use when they leave strike cruisers/space transport and head towards planets if a Valkyrie is no good?

I was refering more to the pilot and co-pilot/gunner

big massive son of a bitch transports, able to carry hundreds of guardsmen, or even thousands at a time.

guard don't really do tactical insertions like marines, they land on mass then organise any small strikes with Valks and stormtroopers, they don't really have any small transports, guard don't do small, small is not in there vocabulary, mentioning anything small brings commissars down on you, the only small guard thing is the high commanders brain.
