What do you collect? I'm amazed that no one's started a thread like this before. If you collect Dark Eldar or Sister's of battle, please state otherwise, as there are only a max of ten poll options.

Funny story, I actually came to heresy while looking around forums for an army census. Ended up staying for the theoryhammer and especially Vassal.
Anyhow, I've collected guard (for cool tanks), dark eldar briefly (for the cool looks) and eldar (for the cool models and psykers). Then I went to college and stopped collecting. Now I'm getting into Orks because I had never really looked at orks before as a competitive army but after trying various armies out on Vassal I found that I really enjoyed playing them. The new models are top notch too, especially the warbikers. So now I've started scraping together some orks. There's no better army for rolling massive piles of dice.

ive got ~3000pts of dark angels and ~1500pts of eldar
i like dark angels because of the fluff and because i have a plasma fetish, and i collect eldar because they look cool and play very eccentrically.

Orks baby!!! I have like 6000 points and still going. Although I have started collecting Necrons this year just to have a different army that I have not done before since I have built an army out of almost every race. Nids are the only other race that I have never built an army for yet.

The problem with the poll is unfortunately you can only vote once, and a lot of us (most I would guess) collect multiple armies.
So: Orks, 2 BA armies (one loyalist, one renegade), Ultramarines and Imperial Fists, Eldar, nids, and just started Witch-hunters, to give my few IG something to do. Also got a few necrons and DE lying around somewhere, and a couple of Space Wolves. I don't consider that I'm 'collecting' those though, except by accident. I think that's it.
Of those, the renegade BA, Orks and Ultramarines are all more than 1500pts (Orks and Ultramarines, more than 3000pts, but I haven't totted them up lately, I just pick and choose from the units I have).

I have no clue how high I could go points-wise, but I've got about four companies of Space Marines sitting around (figuring in 1st and 10th Company assets into that figure). I've also got around 10000 points' worth of Chaos Space Marines, though I don't use them because I think the new codex is stupid. Incidentally, this is just the stuff that's painted... I've got assorted odds and ends that are still sitting on their sprues that I just never really needed so never bothered assembling. I've made brief forays into Eldar, largely just to paint the models... and I've tried my hand at Necrons, but got bored with the monotony of the models.
