They fall under the HQ choice, however you must first have a hive tyrant. The Guard do not use up any slots.
What are Tyrant Guards classified as?
I've been wanting to use my Tyrant Guards in combat with my Tyrant, however I don't see what they are as a unit type. In the codex they are just at the bottom of the HQ section, so do they count as elites or just nothing? Do they take up an elites slot if I put them on my Tyrant?
