The cult troops are better than the Icons.

Icons on Termies are worth it though, in SOME cases.

i agree cult troops are by far better then icons, mainly because you dont lose the benefit of the mark if one of your dudes die, unlike icons were once youve lost it thats it you lose the benefit, i also agree on termies its good sometimes

generally if you by an icon the equivilent cult troop is only a few points more per model and gets loads and loads of extra gimmiks like Fearless, Feel No Pain, Furious Charge and unique weapons.

However, icons are worth it on termies but only in the right circumstances and if you have the points to spare.

Sometimes the Mark of Slaanesh is good to place on 'vanilla' CSM if it will make a difference between you being slaughtered in assault (or you doing the slaughtering).
