I will be popping out to pick up a 8th Edition Rule Book at some point next week so it seemed sensible to work out expanding my Warriors of Chaos army, so that I can think up the aesthetics of the next units and pick up anything I need at the same time as the BRB.

My intention is to primarily model and paint what I wish; however, I still want the army to not have the same chance of winning whether or not I actually get it out of the case, so I am happy to adapt if I can come up with a good looking model/conversion for something. My likely choice of palette will be mostly purples and murky greens so Marks of Slaanesh or Nurgle would fit the look better.

I also have 10 Warhounds unassembled.

I am particularly interested in:
(i) whether building Warriors is the best next step compared to, for instance, bulking up the Marauders to be two 20 man units
(ii) if Warriors are the best next step whether Halberds are likely now to be better than Great Weapons
(iii) whether when I expand to larger points values Nurgle Warriors or Slaanesh Warriors are better to aim for first (so I can paint appropriately)

If there is nothing really missing at this size, what sort of things should I be adding in for 1000+?

Obviously as 8th has only been out -1 days (so there might be someone who has not read it cover to cover yet:grin the advice does not have to be perfect.
