I'm just checking so I won't get into awkward situations in a tournament:

"If making a Warp jump, it [the Spider unit] immediately moves up to 6+2D6" in any direction --"

So I roll the 2D6 and get X, decide the direction and then move the models at least X" and up to X+6"? I don't need to decide the direction before rolling or move as far as possible?

Thanks in advance!

Just like any movement that number (2d6+6") represents your maximum move. You can choose to move less than that if you wish.

That said, yes you can roll then determine which direction you want to move them in. At least that's how I read it because it mentions distance then direction.
