So all my friends play 40k.... But the mech/future army just have no appeal to me. Would it be possible to play with an army from the fantasy set? Is there an rule set out there or some way to modify the rules to do so?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Have you checked out the Black Templars, or the Grey knights of the inquisition. they have very knight in shining armor qualities. the Eldar also have a bit of fantasy to them.

with teh right paint scheme you could take any one of the armies and have something that looks quite fantastical.

I was actually thinking about looking into the Eldar. I kinda know how the game works from watching them. Suppose I'm too attached to vampires and thats where my curiosity came from :D.

you could always try to dig up the old Feral Ork rules.

What are those exactly? I can try googling them, or is there a place I can look that up?

There is also the warrior weapons option from the Imperial Guard doctrines.
Cyboars Rock  .

EDIT. The Eldar had rules for Exodite world armies in previous editions, which were low-tech and rode dark elf/lizardman 'cold ones'. Some one is bound to have reworked them in this Edition.
