Your observation is spot on!
He's at core a Blood Angels army, that recently went so Unbound that there's literally no Blood Angels. Since they are still his core army for the Baphomet Sector campaign, they should return at some point. In the interim he has been leveraging Grey Knights faction for win power. Blood Angels just don't seem to hold their own right now.
