is it just me or are space marine flamers kinda weak.

heres my most recent mods

this guys Greenstuff is still curing but I couldn't wait

and secondly, If my initiate with flamer looks cool, then my assault marine with flamer should look even more badass.

I love the pose of the 1st miniature. Looks as if he has picked the flamer off the body of a IG and is covering his squad mates retreat.

The second one looks ok, I'm not really a fan of the flame on the left hand gun though.

(his left or our left)

if you mean the one pointing up, it looks better in real life than in the picture, but ill probably touch it up better before it leaves my table.

also, BT's don't retreat, ever. he is covering his squad mates tactical regrouping.

FLAME ON! I may borrow the idea with the first guy for a couple of my Lions Rampant... the little promethium canister never did really cut it, after all, and a hose connected to a fuel tank seems so much more... flamey.

A fairly simple way to get flames is to cut the topknot off of Orks or Chaos Space Marine helmets, and paint appropriately. Remind me to post a picture sometime.

Very cool idea, looks awesome. Another thing you can try instead of greenstuff is the topknots from some of the chaos marine heads. makes a perfect looking flame.

Nice tanks on the first model - where did they come from? I'm looking for something I can use on an ork dred that I've been building for ages, and they look good.

As do the other bits, too - really like the pose on the top model, the assault marine looks good too, though I too am not entirely convinced by the flame on the left-hand-as-you-look-at-it, in-in-the-mini's-right-hand, pointing-upwards flamer.

I think the shoulder pads thing means not that we were all unobservent, but that the rest of the model was so compelling...

cause I didn't blend it well, actually I did now, but I'm to lazy to take another picture.

actually, that specific marine is particularly good as suffering not the unclean to live, and abhoring the witch with much professionalism.

The tanks are from the Cadian Shock Troops box. Any IG player has god knows how many of the things.
You see, I'd know that if I'd ever bothered to get the Davron 20th up and running.

Maybe soon...
