I'm going to Games Day with a friend and I'm planning ahead for the various events that'll be going on there. I hope to participate in a few 1000-point games, so I thought up a list just for the occasion. My second list is for games with slightly higher points.

First list:

HQ:
Daemon Prince: 140

Love Daemon Princes I prefer warptime but if you are running low on points then i understand why you used MoK. I mean it is World Eaters, but for some reason Warptime seems a bit more Khorney to me. Also I see you have wings and I would suggest you never leave home without them

Like I said I love Daemon Princes. the more the marryier. Infact I have 2 in my list and it works wonders

Dozer Blade has its uses but i would not waste points on it unless you find that you really need it. I would scrap them if i were you and save up for a Warptimed Prince. I like the idea of a Chaos Space Marine Squad for holding objectives and I think the choice to use 2 Meltaguns was a good one, seems like it would work well. The PF i like but the combi-flamer not so much, you allready have 2 Melta guns, Why not make a combi-melta to fit with the squad more? would it be incase you play a horde army? The Combi-Weapon i think should only be added if you need somewhere to put an extra 5 points and if this is why you used it then great. Also I dont really know how necessary the IoCG is but if you like it then go ahead and use it, but if I were you which I am not then I would scrap it.

I think it is perfect except for the Dozer Blade. personally dont think it is worth it. I have gotten comments about how the PF is not worth it on the Khorne Berzerkers but it has gotten more than its points back in everygame i use them, so I think it is perfect

Im not to familiar with Defilers. some people love them and some hate them. If I was to use one I would set it up in this formation. Obliteraters are better in my opinion but they do not fit the World Eater fluff if you want it to be pure

3 defilers!!! sounds expensive, but very scary also. When using vindicators I find that they only work best when used in threes hopefully defilars work the same. sorry about the lack of comment about the defilars I am just not very familiar with them. only used one once

I am only really familiar with 1500 point lists so I only touched that one. I wish you the best of luck and even if you dont take my suggestions I hope it is for the better

Thanks for the reply! A few things to say:

The dozer blades were pretty much point-fillers, but I think I'll benefit more from extra armour on the 'Zerker Rhinos since they need to get into cc fast.

I've been going back and forth bewteen Defilers and Oblits, so I think I'll have to try both out and see which I prefer. Defilers were my first choice since they can do well against vehicles and small units in assault, which is pretty much the theme of the list(s). They lob shells as they advance and eventually dash forward, adding to the momentum of Berzerker and DP assaults.

As for the DP layouts, Warptime probably would be a pretty competitive choice (if not a better choice than MoK) but I wanted to keep them cheaper (and fluffy!) In bigger games, I'd consider Warptime more.

Definitely a good HQ choice, but for 1k points, keep it cheap and only take one DP, and give him Warptime. At 1k , he'll be incredibly hard hitting.

Perfect. Generally viewed as something that works better in pairs though.

Ok so after a bit of a play about, I came up with something like this:

HQ:

Wings, Warptime

1 Skull Champion w/ power fist
+ Rhino w/ dozer blade: 35

Heavy Support:
Defiler: 150

Total: 999

Between the DP, the 2 rhino's, and the two defilers your enemy will be scrambling to get enough anti-tank weaponry to kill them all.

With your defilers, first turn: move them, and shoot the battle cannon. Second turn: move, run, assault

Use the squad of Berzerkers with a power weapon to slaughter infantry, and the one with the power fist to take out IC, MC, tanks, heavy inf etc. Dozer Blade to help the Fist get to where it needs to be.

The thing I don't like with that list is the lack of IoCG. CSMs will be quite less dependent while loosing assaults and the like. They'll be routed easily and if I need them to hold an objective, this is a problem.

lol okay its all a matter of opinion and how you play the army, but in my games IoCG really doesnt help very much and Warptime makes all the difference.

good point, in my experience the list arisocrap is playing would be beasty!:victory:

typed before I thought:laugh:, SCREW THAT^! Thay are useful though if you play on maps with alot of difficult terain! (though you'd think they should also be good for ramming!):biggrin:
