Hey guys, my lady had been slowly building her Wood Elves alongside my Lizardmen and she's discovered that she doesn't enjoy painting so, as a loving boyfriend and plastic crack addict, I've decided to offer her my services . I just bought my airbrush setup and had been eager to try my hand at a model with it. So this is my first model done with an airbrush. She said make it pretty... you think I did ok?

Thanks I thought the green was a bit too bold, but I think it provides a really interesting contrast.

It might be the photograph flattening the colours, but the brown looks like quite similar to unpainted clay unless you really peer. So you might want to increase the range between the shade and highlights so there is more visual texture.

I was thinking the same thing that it was unpainted clay. For a main character like this you may want to go more bold. I would brighten up the face to make it stand out more since most main character models have faces that are lighter than their bodies to stand out and add some darker colors to the hair. Again it could be the photo but I think it is a good job that she should be happy with.

Thanks guys. I do agree about the highlights. I'm a little afraid to go any further for the simple fact that I'm still rather inexperienced with the airbrush. What do you think about highlighting the high points of the face and body with a lighter brown to create a better contrast? I suppose it does look a bit silly with the stark green and no other brighter colors. I was going for a rosewood or redwood color scheme. If you have any specific suggestions they would be appriciated. I'm a little stumped on how to proceed here
