What is your favorite army for being a tread head? Not the best army, what's the most fun? (Afterall that's what being a tread head is all about) While its lame and sounds simple I love being a space marine tread head. Recklessly charging a vindicator is tactically dumb, but fun as hell. plus a strength 10 blast is always fun. Also the super bulk of the land raiders makes my day as they lumber accross the field. And when you can deep strike them its unfluffily awesome. The predators can be way overpowered with 3 lascannons, and even the razorback gets decent firepower.

Feel free to say any army (please due). Eldar are fun because of the firepower the wave serpent (a transport) can get. Tau have the railgun. Monoliths are almost indestructible. Oh yeah the imperial guard have the wide variety, plus dedicated flame thrower tanks :shok:.

I am going to pull the majority answer here and say I love Guard tanks. There are so many and all of them are awesome. Needless to say, they will be my next army (Traitors, of course).

Imperial Guard! First, Last & Always. I just love their tanks and the models of said tanks. I have 10 Leman Russ based tanks, 22 Chimera based vehicles & 4 Super Heavys. So yeah I'm a Treadhead & proud of it.:victory:

29 Leman Russ chassis varients
21 Chimera chassis varients
6 superheavies

I do have SM vehicles as well but I'm not as passionate about them as the IG stuff.

armoured battlegroup (guard) whats not more perfect for a tread head force than having Leman russ as HQ, Elites, Troops, Heavy support (well thunderer+destroyer are the same hull at least) and hellhounds as Fast attack.

better than pretenders who think chimeras and Rhinos are tanks
