It doesn't use up any slots normally but it counts as the same slot for Dawn of War Deployment as its parent unit i.e. you buy a Rhino for a Tactical squad as a single Troops choice in the FOC.

You can deploy the unit in the transport as your 2 Troops choices in a Dawn of War mission.
