You could try and replace the weapons with some of the tomb kinsg ones? Or maybe model them with TK shields? If you haave a lihce preist I would try and paint it similar to that so they tie into the whole dead dry flesh thing.

Alternatively build a load of skeleton warriors without shields and if possible no weapons either and use them as zombies? So it is like the wizard has just rasied anything nearby rather than military?
