Ok, I got a bad ars daemonprince for christmas and put my heart and soul(Ironic) into the model. I gave him wings and green-stuffed to the best of my abilities and pinned every piece with at least 2 pins. I started to paint him and he started to come out well... Then all that changed.
He just died in a game at my GW and i set him aside by the table edge, i might have bumbed the table but he droped and a wing popped off even with all those pins. Unfortunately it wasn't a clean break, the green stuff i had put on to texture the joint sprang off and now there are chunks of GS missing on the wing.

So the question...Should i putty it back up as cleanly as possible and continue painting, or give up and start from square one buy buying him again?

Comments welcome, this sort of matters because now it feels like my soul is broken.

I completely understand and sympathize-- I've seen similar incidents a few too many times. I would suggest you try to fix up the damaged model, partially because daemon princes are immortal, partially because they're 35 bucks (USD), and partially because you've already invested time, effort, and sentiment on the project, and it'd be lame to let it slide over a bump off the edge of the world.

Lol. Just strip the damn thing and start again and reinforce it better. Don't waste money.

Even the best customer at my home store who cleaned off the SM shelf completely wouldn't buy another one just cause of something like this.

Bingo. Don't let an accident do away with all the work you have put into it so far.

get some big fluffy dice and go hey close combat outside now

i strike fist and i get a extra attack for being ferious charge + 1 fore wielding the holy codex and 4 attacks standard i hit on 4.s

he rolls to save on a +3

roll the dice see how many hit then punch him that many times / how many saved

First, eat a chocolate bar. It will make you feel better. But now, you have a bad relationship with food.

I would either forget the model, hide it away, and never speak of it again, or I would try my hardest to fix it like it was.

Since you already talked about it publicly, it will be hard to forget, so I'd fix it up. Once it was fixed, I would pretend it never happened, and also pretend that horrible accidents like that never happen, and so cannot happen again.
