That's because there are different answers, Saggers. The GW website does have a painting tutorial for TSons that will list the colors they use, but theirs is not the only 'right' way to paint TSons.

Some like darker blues with golden contrasts, while some prefer the brighter blues and yellows. Others even go with the Preheresy colors, and let me tell you, Red TSons are a drastic change from the norm.

Go with what you like.

IMHO I would go with Regal Blue and highlight up w/regal/ultra 50/50 mix, ultra is to soft and midnight has somewhat of a purple hue to it. Good Luck

for my tsons i went dark, used Necron Abyss, up to Mordian... Necron is like a non-purple version of Midnight Blue.

I used a basecoat of regal
then covered it in Ultra, but leaving a thin line between the ultra and the trim
then highlighted up to a 2-1 mix of ultra and ice.

For the gold I went from tin to brazen to shining to burnished and all the way to a 2-1 mix of burnished and mithril.

Overall a fairly bright model but the tabards are necron abyss highlighted with regal and then an ice blue flame blended to a near white on the bottom of the tabard

For me, I use Metallic Blue by Folk Arts for the base colour and slowly add increasing amounts of Mithril Silver to achieve the look I want.

For both of these the blue is done as I said with the gold trim being different. On the left model it's Tin Bitz, then TB/PUre Gold (Folk Arts), then Mithril Silver added to the last colour. The right model is TB, then Pure Gold, Chestnut Ink, Pure Gold/Brazen Brass, then a final highlight of Dwarf Bronze added in.

P.S Where do you get Folk arts paints from ( I'm in the U.K).

I get them at Micheal's art supply stores. Dunno if they are over the pond though.
