Hello Heresy land!
I've been looking to revamp my space wolves for a while now. Absolutely love my thunderwolf cavalry, but have found my past few games with them a little stale. So been want to dabble in something a little different.
The release of The Curse of Wulfen and all those formations gave me a new direction and took a list to a tournament. Honestly the most fun I've had in ages! Opponents were all fantastic and an absolute pleasure to face. But what topped it for me was I'd found my love for the wolves again.
This list is an adaption of what I took to the tournament. I only took one unit of wulfen as I only had one unit at the time.

Rune Priest
I quite liked the fluff surrounding the ironwolves, and their formation is pretty decent so thought they would make a nice core to build around. I know, I really should probably go for the more vehicle based formation if I'm taking them, but the dreadnought one suffers from having them as a single unit (no drop pods for you!) while being quite expensive to run and I don't have a landraider so can't bring the Spear of russ.
The ironwolves formation meets all the restrictions, and grants me free weapons and wargear for vehicles (hence why they have all the bling! MAKE IT RAIN!!!), grants an extra 6" when moving flat out, allows me to disembark even if the vehicles have moved 12" and -2 Ld on tank shocks.
The rune priest with terminator armour becomes best buds with the wolf guard and drop in the pod. He unleashes the awesome living storm power (2D6 + D6 for every additional priest in the formation, so looking at 4D6 shots), with re-rolls to hit and ignores cover thanks to the Helm of Durfast. Wolf guard either finish off what the priest cooks with is lightening or blast open a tank.
Wulfen use the razorbacks as mobile shields and charge up the board, followed closely by the biker priest for some buffs if required.
Long fangs and foot priest chill in the rearguard and take pot shots when needed, zooming up or down the board depending on the will of the cards.
Battle leader and blood claws hope for a turn 3 charge to mop up anything still standing in the centre or charging through enemy lines. The +3 are a little wasted as it isn't likely they will be outnumbered turn they charge, but its a nice little buff if things don't go their way. Besides, only 5pts more than a frost axe, worth every point in my opinion.
Landspeeder is tax really as I haven't got my other rhinos with me, so couldn't take another unit of grey hunters without dropping the wolf guard and stealing their drop pod. Its a nice little distraction unit if I'm honest. Usually keep it in reserve if I'm going second or deploy it far up to try and get a pot shot off if I'm going first.
So far got a pretty clean slate, 4 wins and 1 draw. All have been bloody matches with neither side having much left to fight with, just the sort of games I like. Boring if its too one sided (though I do like battling against the odds, trying to carve a glorious death as I charge towards the jaws of defeat).
Any comments greatly appreciated, always like to hear suggestions on how I can improve on my lists.
Not sure what I would add to get the list up to 2k. I've been tempted to break out old murderfang as he wouldn't be my only vehicle unit (for a change) so might stand a slightly better chance. Or bring back my void claws to get another unit into the enemy deployment zone turn 1 and take some fire off the wulfen.
