Hello everyone

I would like to discuss the broad topic that is our Hobby on Tumblr. I myself have a Tumblr and from what I have found there are a lot of good Hobbyists online creating some wonderful content. However it seems to be very isolated. I think it would be great to have some sort of centralised way of finding these great blogs, much like the Youtuber community has.

What do you think?

If you have a hobby tumblr, post it below. Lets get the ball rolling on creating something together

I follow a couple of art blogs and occasionaly post some stuff myself. but honestly most of the things on Tumblr I notice are social justice warriors.
This, I tried it briefly, but after SJW tried to invade my comics and argue about a medium/hobby they didnt care about until a few issues came to their attention I largely gave up.

To this day I remain admant that Spider Woman variant cover wasnt degrading to women it was a bloody homage to one of the most iconic Spider-Man covers/poses god damn it!

I use tumblr to harass, intimidate, and generally troll social justice warriors.
so you made a blog so you could be just as bad as they are? everybody needs a hobby I gues :p

on Tumblr nothing and no one is safe from the SJW's taking things to far. all the time.
I am curious about your comics tho, where they about anything specific? and could I please see the Spider woman cover? I'm a bit of a fan xD

once you get past the SJW blogs, the porn bullshit, the spambotblogs, and the blogs purely made to make other people upset. there are some pretty cool people and artists on Tumblr. you just have to find them.

there is certainly a lot of potential. but there is just way to much trash to sift trough to get there for a lot of people, and for obvious reasons Tumblr tends to have a bad rep for a lot of people on the internet.

I personaly feel better off having a plog over here

Oh no, I'm not as bad as they are. If anything, I'm performing a public service because these people are angry, vicious asshats who are creating a reactionary radical right which is just as dangerous as they are. If you actually introduce these people to academically verified fact, they tend to shut up, and we're all better off for it.

Sorry, I just use tumbler to look at attention starved college girls with a clothing deficiency.

I tried using tubmblr for the hobby but found the groups on Facebook to be more interesting and engaging so I mainly use it for the same thing scscofield does now days.

Nah they definitely don't, my ass got shadow banned. I guess going with the status quo is more important than being educated and not being a nazi (SJWs are, in fact, nazis...which I find hilarious). But it was fun while it lasted.

Just as a point of contention, I'm pretty sure that (unless you are arguing mathematics with them) nothing is actually an 'academic fact'. At least, in the circle of academia I'm in, things tend to be more grey than black or white.

I recently left Tumblr because it becomes an echo chamber. I probably agree with most of the SJWs you picture, but I found Tumblr severely stunted my ability to have a calm discussion with anyone.

I just think, oddly, Tumblr is too integrated. Every topic overlaps with everything else and, whilst some people may want to talk about why almost everything in the 40k setting is male/sex-less and of late the SoB are the only ones not to get an update or why the hobby is very heavily dominated by males, there are some people who just want to be like "here's a thing I did!" and not worry about the social implications. On Facebook it's easy to have one corner for the broad-thinkers to hash things out and another for the people who just want to push small plastic/resin figures around.
