The Throne Room door opens and a group of Eldar, Inquisitors, and Tau with lots of medical apparatus on trolleys enter. The Tau circle the throne and begin inspecting it, meanwhile a psycher has been wheeled into the throne room strapped down to a gourney.

The Tau connect the psyker to their machines and kill him with a lethal injection, using Tau gene-tech the dead psycher's body is flushed of organic material leaving behind an opaque skeletal protein husk. The Tau then connect the machines to the Golden Throne and the Emperors blood begins to fill the machines. Gradually colour begins to return to the protein husk of the psycher's body, first the blood vessels all become visible, then the skeleton begins to whiten, next muscles and sinue begin to take shape, and finally skin begins to pigment. The features of the body visibly change to look like the Emperor's younger self as the new genetic material takes control of the framework it has been given to grow on and it becomes it's own.

The Eldar perform a ceremony and transfer the sleeping mind and will of the emperor to the brain of the new host. Then two Terminator Marines in ceremonial armour with heavy flamers lay waste to the throne, as this happens the warp erupts in the room above the new host of the emperor and he awakens.

As this happens there is a fracture in time-space just outside the throne room that spews forth thousands of tyranid. The emperor is hurriedly placed inside a special ceremonial suit of Tau-like Power armour lying ready. The Armour is adorned with Tau and Eldar inscriptions and it's backpack has a unique warp device of Eldar Origins built into it.

The Emperor then uses the armour he is wearing to activate the webway network he had been working on in secret with the Eldar before the Herasey. They escape along with most of the imperium's forces, just as the planet is overrun by tyranid.

I liked it up until the warp fracture bit and nids everywhere! I like the whole getting him a proxy body thing to transfer into rather than having to kill him and wait for him to respawn as a perpetual does and the resulting shit storm
