Hi everyone,

I was bored at school today so i decided to come up with some rules for my baneblade variant the "Fireblade" I’ve checked the latest vehicle design rules and the point are about right, the rules are as followed:

PTS FR SD R SP* BS
611 14 13 12 3 4

(*structure points)

Weapons:
1 Super battle cannon
2 twin linked sponson inferno cannons
1 twin linked hull inferno cannon
1 hull demolisher cannon
1 Co-axial heavy stubbber

Special rules
Incinerator round: once per turn instead of fire a normla round from the super battle cannon you can fire an Incinerator round. The Incinerator round has the profile as follows:
Range S AP Type
72" 8 3 ordanance 1, ignores cover, large blast
Once all wounds form the round has been resolved roll a D6 on a 4+ the cover the unit you fired upon is set on fire (refer to burning cover rules below). on a D6 roll of 6 the cover has been Flash Burnt (refer to flash burn table below.

Burning cover:
every turn roll a D6 for the cover which is on fire on a 4+ any units inside take 2D6 strength 6 ap - Hits. on a 1 the fire stops and the cover returns to normal and on a 6+ the building is flash burnt (see rules below)

Flash burn:
when a building is flash burnt every model inside the building take a strenth 6 AP 4 hit. after all wounds are resolved the peice of cover is removed from play and the models originally in the cover are now take a pinning check.

Sounds nice. I would think that the points would be a little bit higher, especially for BS 4 and the special rules ((which are very cool)). You're only really losing out on the two lascannons, but the upgrades on the remaining weaponry more than makes up for that.

I like it dude. The only thing i not sure on is the Burning Cover rules. They seem a little high for a bush being on fire.

The Flash Burning rule is perfect however.

650-700 seems a good amount of points. 611 seems a little cheap.

Otherwise great work. Have you got a model in the works?

with the burning cover rules its for cover not barricades

Also with the model i'm not really sure what to do, because i've only been playing 40k for a year so i don't know much bout scratch building and major conversions

Also on what it looks like. It looks like a banblade but all the heavy bolters have been replaced by inferno cannons and the lascannons replaced by targeters

That would seem to be a very simple switch to the normal baneblade templates. Just use twin heavy flamers in the turrets instead of twin heavy bolters. The normal Land Raider targetters would look just fine in place of the Lascannons. I'd try to make the main cannon look a bit more unique though. Just for flair.

Send me your true e-mail addy and I can send you those templates.

Oh, and here is a pic of the baneblade I built using those same templates:
