I've seen that the Warhammer world is going into the End Times with Nagash returning. Do you think that 40k can have a similar storyline and if so who would you think or want to be Nagash's equivalent in 40k?

Abaddon? a Hive Fleet? The Necrons? Ghazgul? Maybe someone else.

Personally I'd like to see the Dæmon Primarchs come back as they'd make the End Times a really interesting place to be.

The Final Black Crusade, with the return of the last living primarchs, and the death of the Emperor. For example.

This is one of the great things about the plot being stuck in 999.m41. We can speculate about the End Times to our heart's content and no one is wrong.

Personally, I like the idea that the Tau throw everything off. With no signature in the warp their actions cannot be accounted in prophesy making. After the Golden Throne craps out and the Eldar get blasted out of existence by Necrons and Chaos. The Tau Empire will sweep up what is left of the Imperium and rebuild toward a brighter future. The kink though is that with humanity becoming the overwhelming majority of the Tau Empire's population the Ethereals are incapable of maintaining control and the Empire undergoes a revolution to make it more of a liberal socialist society rather than an Orwellian Crapsaccharine dictatorship.

Isn't it just what Imperial Scholars calls this age? Doesn't mean it has to end yet.
Nope. Its what GW calls the age. You think that an imperial citizen could say that the Imperium is coming to an end in public and not get a bolter to the face? As far as the vast majority of Imperials are concerned everything is fine. Nothing to worry about, the Golden Throne is not about to crap out, their is no such thing as Necrons and Tyranids are as harmless as carpenter ants.

Ehm according to the fifth edition RB pgs 123: The term was first coined in 744.M41, by Taggarath, the Seer of Corrinto, who predicted a time of upheaval in which both the Imperium and the Light of the Emperor would be swallowed by an approaching darkness. He was eventually executed for heresy.

And same book pg 199: The Time of Ending is also a time in which young, upstart alien races are able to establish their own fledging realms in the galaxy. The Draxian Hegemony, the Tau Empire, the Worldweave of Noisome Reek, the Uluméathic League and numerous others have prospered, ready to stand their ground against the besieged Imperium of Man.

I didn't add any spoilers as the book is so old.

But you technically are correct GS. Anything written by an author of GW is from GW itself. :)
