When a Unit recieves multiple wounds from the same source, you must allocate those wounds as evenly as possible within the unit.

For Example: if he took 15 wounds, and his unit consisted of 4 troops+Character, he could assign 3 wounds to the Character, while also giving 3 wounds to each other model (15 wounds / 5 models = 3 wounds-per-model).

Yes, even wound allocation applies in any situation where Unit A is wounding Unit B.

The only sorta-exception to this is in assaults, where wounds are allocated after each model attacks in Initiative order. Im far, far too tired to explain this, so i'll give a page reference instead.

Oh, and in Assaults, Independant Characters are treated as a separate single-model unit. Rules for this can be found on page 41: "Multiple Combats".
