Was wondering if anyone has a good easy tut for Swamp Bases. Should be suitable for Fanatsy Lizardmen, ranging from small Skink bases, up to large Carnosaur bases.

Thanks in advance.

Paint gloss varnish all over the base of your model. I've seen it in the big 4th ed rulebook. Of course, I would also suggest painting the base green or brown first, and maybe adding some little ferns.

Post some pics when you're done!

Good luck!

Fantasy has square bases right?, maybe build lil square basins out of plasticard and greenstuff, then fill it with greenish watereffects.

Green Stuff/paper mache small pools and areas on the base. Paint green, flock with dark green, light green and sand along the rims of the pools. paint black on the bottom of the pools, let dry. Coat with FINISH acrylic floor wax. Let Dry. Paint thinly with dark green, letting black show thru. Finish again. Then light green. Finish again. Top with small green pieces of paper in lillypad shape.
