Anyone know what the next summer campaign will be about and what gaming system it will be based around (fantasy or 40k)????

I believe it is going to be 40K as the last one was Fantasy. Other than that, not a clue.

I'm really hoping to have my army completely finished by the time the new campaign comes around. A box or two of Shock Troops and I will be good to go. But, after that, I am adding what ever IG player dreads painting, Conscripts.

I just bought a load of crappily painted catachans of ebay as my conscripts ... I've managed to convince myself the bad painting is a good reflection of their bad stat lines.

On the subject of summer campaigns, I have no idea. I thought i heard something about some Damocles Gulf thing - but i have no idea what that was about...

Every summer, GW does a massive summer campaign focused around a storyline. Players play games, submit the results to a special campaign website and these are all tallied up to determine what goes on. The last 40K one was the battle for medusa V (the sites still up i think if you wanna check it out). Imps won. GW usually releases some new models for the campaign as well.

I was talking to a guy at my GW and he said that more apocalypse stuff is due over the summer, so I think those two might be connected somehow.

Maybe an expansion on that dark angel campaign a few weeks back, but It'll probably be to do with what ever is released closest to that time so me thinks dark eldar as they come out fairly soon?

I hope it is 40k but i've hear recently its going to be based around the high elves

no there is A campaign around high elves which will run next year some time and I doubt they'll do two big summer ones on the same race, so methinks 40k
