Hey, got a question. Is there a decent substitute for the GW Green Stuff that I could pick up at a local hobby shop?

more or less just adding stuff to current models, not really doing anything major atm. I figured clay wouldnt work very well, so I thought I'd ask what would

Milliput works well as a very cheap substitute and can be bought from most good hobby stores but will not give you the smooth look you'll often be after when adding bits to a model although it's great for rocks and adding stuff to bases.

Otherwise I'd recommend the blue/yellow putty Unforgiven linked to.
