So Spore Mines are a Heavy1 Weapon. This would first indicate to me that they must fire direct, so cannot guess. But second, if it's a hit or miss shot, how does the Mine drift each turn? How can you even fire a cluster if they're a single shot?

There is an entry in the Tyranid codex (I think its fast attack) where you can purchase a squad of spore mines. I think thats the only way that you really end up with a cluster of them.

codex p.28-29 tells you they fire as a barrage wpn.
movement- scatter d6" in direction of scatter die. if a direct hit,you choose which direction. can come within 1" of enemy model/vehicle. does not assault.
