I decided to paint this guy as a father's day present for my dad. While he's not remotely interested in wargaming, he is a huge Deadhead, which is why I decided to paint the skull the way I did.

I know the lighting isn't very good, and I'll try to take some better pictures today or tomorrow. I also need to touch up the gun and the eyes, Since the gun doesn't look as good as I thought in all gold.

That's an awesome Chaplain. The skull-helm looks pretty epic. At a first glance, the red/blue looked out of place...but, after further examination it just seems to fit.

You need to find a little plastic toy bear to put by his feet and paint it red and blue too. That would make it complete.

Actually, I have something better than a bear, although I would use that otherwise. I took the blade off of the Empire Wizards scythe, so now it's just a bunch of roses with a skull on top, both of which are very common in Greatful Dead artwork.

If you were feeling really precise you could paint the fist few bars of "Bertha" onto the scroll on his back.
