Foreword: Hey guys this is my first post on Heresy and it will be on the Space Marine Chapter i just created using Baron Spikey's Generator. Hope you enjoy hearing about the Bronze Sentinels, so without further ado let's begin!

Introduction: The Bronze Sentinels are a relatively new space marine chapter, shunned by their progenitor they work alone in the service to the Imperium. however they have an impeccable record and have taken control of large amounts of space for the Imperium whilst working with unexpected allies for a space marine chapter. At the close of the 41st Millennium they have earnt the respect of the Imperium they take little part in and have given little cause for any concern over their allegiance to the immortal emperor on the golden throne.

Origins:
The Bronze Sentinels were created during the 40th Millennium after the discover of a large number of new star systems that had been left unexplored for thousands of years. They were to provide assistance to and join up with expeditionary fleets looking to settle these new-found worlds.

The Ultramarines provided the Sentinels gene-seed however a major flaw was introduced and upon the creation of these new Space Marines there were a number of visible deficiencies, hyper sensitive pupils caused vision problems in normal or bright environments and additional problems surfaced when it was discovered that the Space Marines could not communicate efficiently.

Although these problems were deemed low priority the Ultramarines shunned their new successor and have refused all contact with the Sentinels to this day. As a result the Sentinels tend to ignore other Imperial Military forces and work alone in their service to the Imperium. This has led to the brothers of the Sentinels forming a closer bond than usual even for space marines, they have an even greater sense of Brotherhood and now in the 41st millennium this is visible through the chapters belief of honoring their ancestors.

Homeworld:
Azura is the Home of the Bronze Sentinels and it provides the hostile environments necessary for the strict and rigorous training that space marine recruits go through. It is an airless, death world where the many volcanoes of the planet produce toxic gases to the human lungs. The settlements of Making are therefore away from these volcanoes and contained in their own atmospheres to ensure the safety of the populace.

The chapter rules the planet directly and recruits from the 8 cities on the world and after the Ultramarines began ignoring the Sentinels, each company began to recruit from one of the cities on Azuria to further increase the sense of brotherhood within the chapter.

Organisation:
The Bronze Sentinels prefer to keep their enemies at a distance and avoid close combat wherever possible as a result they have many more sternguard veterans than normal and limit the size of assault marines in most of their combat operations. They traditional maintain use of the Bolter and prefer Heavy Bolters over most other special weaponry when available. The Sentinels are considered divergent as they maintain only 8 standard companies each with a small scout detachment and a unique first company they call the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood is formed of 80 veteran marines in 8 squads of 10 from each standard company.

Friends, Enemies and Heroes of the Chapter:

Due to the Bronze Sentinels choice of avoiding fighting alongside other military groups of the Imperium, They have not formed any alliances within the Imperium. However they have used the assistance of Rogue Traders due to both they're position within the Universe and the trusting nature the Sentinels display for those traders.

However for that alliance with the traders the Sentinels have drawn the attention of the Eldar. The traders raided many exodite and artefact worlds belonging to or under protection of the Eldar. In return for the protection the Sentinels have offered the traders the Eldar have become to firm enemies of the Space Marines and have battled out many times over the Sentinels brief history within the Heroes of the Imperium.

Chapter Master Jared Vane: The current Chapter Master of the Bronze Sentinels, Jared Vane is a notorious Eldar slayer. Currently leading his chapter on a extermination of the Xelas system, he combines his Squads disciplined bolter fire with the Chapter's brotherhood utilizing a drop pod assault to devastating effects against his Eldar enemy. Responsible for events such as the Triac massacre and the destruction of the Eldar Titan 'Deralmir' at the battle of Malden, there are few as hated as Jared is by the Eldar of the far east.

Master of the Fleet Callus Starr: Callus is the 3rd company captain of the Bronze Sentinels. It was him who worked originally with the first of the long line of rogue traders that the Sentinels have used over the centuries. The Fleet master has been responsible for the conquering of no fewer than 9 systems in the name of the Imperium and the elimination of thousands of enemy fleets. He is a keen strategist and is known for his potential to outmaneuvre his enemies even when outnumbered.
