Okay I came up with this idea on how to use my ideal SM army. I'm still somewhat new to actually playing so tell me what you think...

I will have tanks in front (vindicator and predator) along with a dreadnought. Behind them, I'll have techmarine w/ servitors. That way, as they advance up, they will be repaired and keep the rest ov my army in cover.

Using infiltraition, I'll have scout snipers ahead with homing beacon so i can teleport my close combat terminators next to the enemy. Also if I need to, I'll call in my deep strike fast attacks.

So as the tanks advance and take out some infantry and the term, scout, and fst atk, the rest ov my army which is mainly just tact. squads will rush up and take everyone out.

My HQ will be a Chapter Master with some sort ov honor guard.

Make sure that you get your Vindicator and your Predator into an advantageous spot as soon as possible, as they cannot shoot their main weapon if they keep moving. I have found people that find Techmarines to be sub-par, but the strategy seems to be sound. Just be careful of anti-armor weapons, because most army lists have them and it is hard to repair a tank when all that is left is a smoldering crater.

Don't Deep Strike your Close Combat Terminators, as they will get mauled. Deep Striking only allows units to shoot, which means your Terminators will become a high-priority target as soon as they hit the board. Always always always put Assault Terminators in a Land Raider. Use the Assault Vehicle special rule to your advantage.

You said you were going to run your Tactical Squads? Don't do that. Put them in a Rhino. Always take a Rhino.

I don't know much about your HQ choice, but it seems solid. All I know is that Chapter Masters call in Orbital Strikes and that just sounds cool.

I hope that helps. :)
