No, they just decrease their leadership value. If the fearless unit ever were to have to take leadership, though (like with the Deceiver's Deceive attack), then they'd use the augmented leadership.

It is important to remember that fearless means units auto-pass Moral tests, but Leadership tests still have to be taken. In the case of the Necrons this would apply to things like charging a C'tan, for which a Leadership test must be passed or no charge can be made. Fearless does not provide any help in these situations.

Fearless ONLY auto-passes Moral tests and means units never have to fall back. Leaderships tests are NOT Moral tests, although the Leadership characteristic is used for the Moral test.

To quote from the rules:

Fearless troops automatically pass all Morale and Pinning tests they are required to take, and will never fall back
It says nothing about auto-passing Leadership tests. There is a difference.

C'tan can force a Pinning test on Fearless units that WILL pin them. It can also force a Leadership test that if failed by a Fearless unit causes 1 wound per point the test was failed by.

Leadership scores are still very important to Fearless units.

As darklove says, Moral tests and LD tests are not the same thing, so Fearless doesn't protect against all LD based tests. It's important to remember this especially for Fearless Psykers, who have to pass a LD test to use their powers on LD 7 if they're affected by Soulless.
