Hey so on the weekend im having a 1500pt 3way battle with a coupple of mates one fields Tau nd the other Tyranids (completly opposite armies) .

Anyway, i play SM is there any general tactics or army list that would be good in this situation. Im considering spliting my army into two one capable of tacking the Tau (he uses the basic stand and shoot tactics) nd the other half designed for the Tyranids (who tend to infiltrate and deepstrike ALOT!!).

Were playing the 4th ed as none of us have the 5th ed codex's or rulebook.
But this is the army list i have. Any feedback would gladly be accepted.

Please remove the point costs of your units and their war gear - it is in breach of site rules and infringes GW copyright.

Vs the Tau part of the enemy army use CC specialists (Tau hate that almost as much as Necrons do).
Vs the Tyranids, stay well back and hit them with as many high-S pie plates as you can find.

That pretty much sums it up. You need to have good target priority and focus attention on removing anything which is a real threat early, rather than just shooting at the first thing you think looks nasty.

It's gonna be awfully hard for many people to comment when you're playing 4th edition. :p Some weren't even in the hobby then! Thus, my tactical advice is to acquire a 5th edition rulebook (or two).

and its abit hard to aquire the 5th ed as im in Cyprus nowhere seems to sell warhammer so we end up recyleing all the old bitz we have to make new armies, and when we do gt new stuff from the UK i guess none of us have gt anything in regardes to the 5th ed rules

5th ed. is pretty good and very different from 4th ed., it's worth getting it.

Also, multi-posting is something else frowned upon on the forum. I recommend that if you forget something that you wanted to say just edit the most recent post you made rather than creating a new one.
