That's what I thought. Didn't have the rulebook handy so I couldn't check. Thanks for clearing that up.

Strength multipliers are added BEFORE Strength modifiers. Main rulebook, Close Combat section, special weapons page.

Yep uberschveinen has it down pat.
Same applies to Daemonic strength and Power Fist or any other combo for that matter Double then Add never double up any +s.

Actually, it's 6. You can either use the Chainsword bonus or you can use the powerclaw, but you can't combine them............ GW has stated this on more than one occasion, if you have two weapons with special abilities, you pick which one you are ussing.

I take it that if chainsword he is Strength 4 then?

if he chooses to use the chainsword then he is s4, as it bestows +1 to his strength.

i read this in the bgb today. he can however still get the extra attack for 2 ccw though.
