Hey guys,

Played a game last night where I employed the rune of challenge. My opponent rolled his two dice to see if he made the charge and he failed. Does the 8th edition render this rune useless in a failed charge?

The rune says you have to declare a charge, nothing more, so if they fail a charge, it's just a normal failed charge. That said, with this item, you can pretty much make a unit just stop in it's tracks - if you're going up against a deathstar unit, that is an amazing trick, and gives you an extra turn of shooting at it. Combine it with the master rune of slowness, and the enemy unit pretty much just stands still for a turn. So now, it has two uses, rather than one - slow down an enemy unit from a distance, or draw it into combat when you want.
