Does anyone use stuff that doesn't appear in the 40k universe in their games?

Not just stuff that used to be in but now isn't (eg squats) but stuff from other games? ATM I'm working on a scenario to use some of my old minis, it's a Necromunda/Kill-Team/Cities of Death type thing provisionally entitled "Rogue Trooper conquers the Daleks", I'll give you three guesses what it's about.

Bit unsure about including a jump-infantry rule for daleks though. Anyone got similar 'house rules' for unsupported minis?

As long as it isn't an OFFICIAL event, use what you like, as long as the other players accept it. Say each thing "counts as".

Oh yeah, I do, or I use a home-made profile. Way back in the mists of time, about 20 years ago, the 40k universe was much less solid than it is now. I used to have games where Mega-City One riot judges and Paranoia security guards and Amazons armed with bolt pistols, allied to Harlequins, used to defend strongholds (ie cardboard castles with yoghurt pots on 'to look a bit spacey' ) from 200 fantasy orcs with 20 shoota boyz. Then plastic dinosaurs would randomly appear. Later, space marine re-inforcements might arrive, conveyed in a tranport made from half a WWII German half-track and some shampoo bottles. Or something. Sometimes still do the same sort of thing.

I was just enquiring as to whether anyone else did (and not-so-subtley trying to find out if anyone else has a decent homemade profile for daleks).

yeah, i use old out of date XV-15 stealth suits and sometimes borrow my friends Gundam suits for Crisis suits

I'm sorry mate, I have very little idea what they are - the Tau started their Empire while I wasn't looking, and I haven't really caught up yet.

Gundam is like transformer robots, I think? I didn't khow they did any the right size (though it sounds cool!)
