As it stands i have the following:

Plastic Cryx battlegroup
Nightmare

Plastic Khador battlegroup
Drago

Had a read around and looked at what i liked the look of and more or less settled on a pistol wraith, bane knights, bane thralls; i gather the reapers are quality for the harpoon?

Not had much time to look into khador; but basically bought the cryx as i dont have undead in any system and liked their sneakyness, and bought the khador as they have BIG F*#KING ROBOTS.

For Cryx i want to be as deviant and sneaky as possible, and for the khador i just want to slowly destroy stuff with biiig models.

Any recommendations chaps?

Yep, reaper harpoons rock. The ability to pull a heavy or warcaster out of position (and a threat range of 14") is pretty amazing. Hook them in, and let your bane thralls clean up :)

Bane knights and Thralls are both good choices, thralls will rip even heavy jacks apart quickly while being kept safe from shooting by stealth and high arm. Meanwhile, between Ghostly, reach and Vengeance, the the knights can move fast, and attack from unexpected vectors.

For your khardor, you could get a Spriggan if you wanted another Jack - with a shield and reach, it's even harder than the normal Khardor Jack :) I 'd have to think about what you might want for infantry. Men-O-War are hard as, but they're also very slow (having a full SPD4 army can be a hassle). Winterguard are very decent basic troops, especially with the officer attachment, so they might be good for you. Check out the Widow Makers as well - awesome snipers, so you can reach out and touch someone:laugh:.

The other units (doom reavers, assault kommandos, the great bears and so on), can probably wait until you have a little more experience with the system, and you know what what you want out of your army :)

I play Cryx, and I have only played two games. I have quite a few models, and have tested many different things so far from what I have. I can honestly say that Knights and a Reaper kick so much ass. My Reaper single handedly demolished my friends warcaster on one game. In another game it took out a Charger Light WJ from the Cygnar army with no trouble (Read the Battlereport I posted). My knights turned out to be pretty BA as well, as they are weapon masters, and thus get 3 dice on normal damage rolls, 4 on a charge! They showed themselves in my Battlereport by taking down Stryker without too much trouble or support. I dont have any Bane Thralls, but plan on getting them, as they are an excellent choice as well.

Good stuff!

I'll have to have a proper read of my rulebook so i have a better understanding of the special abilities; a lot of making to do and not much reading so far!

Cankerworm is pretty sweet, but I def recommend him with Asphyxious, not Skarre, as he has affinity to Asphyxious
