I was in the Games Workshop website and noticed a limited number of Blood Angels and Dark Angels models. Is it possible to convert Ultramarines stuff to Blood Angels or to Dark Angels? Is this allowed?

I was unsure and having yet to read the updated codex for either army I was wondering if these armies are limited to the options provided on the websites store army list or if space marines stuff can be converted to blood angels stuff being that they rep the emperor...

Any responses appreciated...getting back into this after 15 years away...

Yes you can convert, up until recently most of the Power Armor forces just used the same model kits. In the last few years GW has been making more codex specific models but the stock Space Marine kits are still widely used by all marine variants.

There was just a picture posted to Heresy that showed a new Blood Angel Tactical squad box as well as a Codex release on the cover of next week's White Dwarf, so it looks like there will be more options soon at least for them. It's pretty easy to kit-bash the Space Marine kits together to get pretty Chapter specific stuff going on, and there's lots of options from Forgeworld to go the extra mile.
